El I.E.S. La Granja participa en "La Ola Verde" en el Año Internacional de los Bosques

El I.E.S. La Granja participa por segundo año en  "La Ola Verde", una campaña mundial para educar a los niños y a los jóvenes sobre la diversidad biológica. Esta iniciativa se desarrolla en todo el mundo el 22 de mayo, Día Internacional de la Diversidad Biológica (DID).

En las escuelas participantes, los estudiantes plantan árboles en sus centros educativos o en el entorno próximo. Siempre que sea posible, el árbol debería plantarse el 22 de mayo - DID.

En el I.E.S. La Granja la plantación de árboles se realizó durante en marzo y abril y se realizará un seguimiento periódico. Los alumnos de 1º E.S.O. están realizando dibujos de los árboles en la 2ª quincena de mayo y los alumnos de 2º E.S.O. realizarán un estudio de algunas especies.

El I.E.S. La Granja ha realizado durante el mes de marzo con el  "Taller del árbol. Creando Patrimonio" .
 

Los alumnos de 1º  E.S.O.  conocerán la importancia de los árboles como componente de los ecosistemas y del paisaje, así como su importancia en los parques y jardines.
Se formarán en cómo se debe plantar un árbol y los cuidados posteriores para su éxito biológico. El taller contiuará visitando los viveros del instituto y plantando árboles en los terrenos de nuestra Colección Botánica. Los monitores de este "Taller del Árbol" son los alumnos del Ciclo Formativo de Recursos Naturales y Paisajísticos. El colofón al taller será la búsqueda de información sobre el ambito geográfico de origen de la especie arbórea, tanto natural como social, económica y política.

Ésta es una experiencia de gran importancia tanto en el marco de la educación ambiental como en el de la convivencia entre los alumnos del I.E.S. La Granja.

El Taller que se pone en práctica por 5º año consecutivo, participó en la convocatoria "Ecoparlamento Europeo de los Jóvenes" .- Young people´s proyect.- una propuesta del Parlamento Europeo. Bajo el lema "Jóvenes por la Sostenibilidad"  los centros escolares mostraban sus experiencias innovadoras de educación ambiental. Nuestro proyecto denominado TREE WORKSHOP. CREATING PATRIMONY se describió así:



Description of the project:

Our project is the ideal one to be developed at the school centre. The main consideration to be taken into account is the fact of being able to restore depredated fields by becoming a botanic collection in which every vegetable space will help all of us to know about a concrete geographical zone, where every species are original from. If so, we will contribute to build a natural and cultural patrimony in our school centre to be enjoyed not only by the members of our centre but the whole community too.

1. Description of the project: Our project is the ideal one to be developed at the school centre. 2. General objectives:

• To recover degrades fields by creating a Botanic Collection with its own environmental and didactical criteria.
• To create some botanic space where studying, investigating and getting nice school coexistence.
• To foster ties between the school community and our environment while participating in a common project on environmental recuperation.

3. Programme, working methods and tools:

- A theoretical lesson about trees, usage and planting imparted by the students at Professional Training to their mates at Secondary Education.
- A visit to the forest nursery.
- Planting and fitting-out the tree. Putting an identification plaque.
- Researching into the original geographical area of such a tree planted by every pupil.

4. Potential restraints encountered by the project teams:

- Coordination among the students (Professional Training and Secondary Education) so as teachers and any participant.
- Really high economic cost of the trees.
- High (economic and resources) cost of the necessary tasks to fit out the Botanic Collection place.

5. Driving force elements encountered by the project teams:

- The school coexistence among students of different ages.
- Environmental improvement, already noticeable, of a degraded field.
- Ties creation among the students and their high school.
- Development of a common project among all the members of the school community.
